Knights:
Welcome Back! We
are so excited to see everyone on Monday. Here are some notes to help make the
start of school a little less hectic.
Traffic:
·
Please be aware that the gates between KLMS and
HHS will be closed at 7:35 every morning.
·
The north entrance to the front KLMS parking lot
is entrance only.
·
Parent drop off/ pick up is in the back of the
school. Please pull up as far as possible and then have your student exit the
vehicle. Both back entrances are opened at 7:15; students should enter the
building and report directly to the cafeteria.
·
Please be prepared for the first few days of
school to have heavier traffic; bus times are approximate and may be slightly
different the first 1-2 weeks of school.
Safety:
·
At 8:05 the back doors of the school are locked;
students arriving after this time must enter through the front of the building
and report to the front office.
·
Students not picked up by 3:50 are brought to
the front of the school.
·
The school doors are locked at 4:00.
Lunches:
·
6th grade lunch is 10:45-11:15
·
7th grade lunch is 11:38-12:08
·
8th grade lunch is 12:24-12:54
·
Parents may have lunch with their student on campus
during their assigned time.
·
If you are picking up a student during their
lunch, please be advised that it may take several minutes to locate your
student.
Backpacks:
Students are permitted to carry backpacks to class until they are issued a
locker. After students are issued a locker, backpacks must be secured in their
locker.
First Day:
Students need to be prepared with a notebook and writing utensil, as well as
their lunch money or their lunch.
Cell Phones:

Students have access to their cell phones
before/after school and during lunch.
·
Cell phones are only allowed during class at the
discretion of teacher and for instructional purposes only.
·
Cell phones must be turned off at all other
times.
