Can you believe we are already in February? Here is a review of the things that we have accomplished and what we still have to go before Spring Break. I appreciate the cooperation and partnership of the KLMS community. Parents, students, and teachers are working together to support learning in ways that we never imagined. Thank you all for your continued efforts!
In January...
- Canvas became a daily tool for students and teachers.
- The incoming 5th graders had a virtual visit, received their choice sheets, and we had an information session for their parents. Welcome to our newest Knights! Click here to review the information presented.
- Our 8th grader students had a virtual visit to HHS to explore the programs and graduation plans; they also received their choice sheets. Click here to review the information presented.
- Counselors have visited with students and the choice sheets are available for current 6th and 7th grade students. Click here for the information presented and links to the choice sheet.
- Basketball started the last week of January and the 7th grade teams had their first game of the season! Click here for the PfISD news release.
- 8th grade students participated in the PSAT on campus.
- Our 7th grade math PLC won a grant from the Pflugerville Education Foundation. Click here to read more about the Pflugerville Education Foundation.
- We welcomed new staff members to campus: Claudia Torres (receptionist), Cody Boehm (7th grade ELA), Jake Young (7th grade TX History), and Michelle Webster (Essential Academics).
- We recognized 65 students for Knight Pride and "knighted" our newest members of the KORT (Knights of the Round Table). Click here to review the student names.
- Students completed their STAR 360 universal screener for reading and math as well as completed their STAAR Interim tests.

- PTO launched an online spirit wear store that allows you to customize your spirit wear. There are several articles of clothing to choose from - then select the color and the logos that you want added. Orders over $50 have free shipping. Click here to visit the online store.
- The basketball seasons continues; the last games are scheduled for March 10 & 11. There are restrictions for spectators as it is limited to parents/guardians listed in Skyward.
- The 8th graders will have a 1:1 meeting with their parent(s)/guardian(s) and a counselor to enter their choices for high school next year. Click here to read the 8th grade counselor newsletter.
- Track & Field will start is still scheduled to start in March. Please see the coaches for more information.
- The deadline to tryout for HHS cheer is March 1. Click here for more information.
