Thank you to all of the parents and community members that helped with the Souper Bowl Luncheon and the Dance. It's great to see so many people supporting the school.
REMIND 101: Have you heard of Remind 101? It is an app that allows me to send you text messages or emails (your choice). I have created three remind 101 groups, one for each grade. If you want to receive updates this way, please send a text message to 81010 with the message most appropriate to your students:
Class of 2019 (current 8th graders): @klms2019
Class of 2020 (current 7th graders): @klms2020
Class of 2021 (current 6th graders): @klms2021
Setting up the messages in this manner will allow us to customize messages for grade specific reminders. Messages in Remind 101 are limited in length, so this will be for quick reminders or notices but will likely not contain all of the necessary information. The other ways that we communicate information include:
- Principal Blog (linked to the homepage and set up for easy mobile access)
- Website (with updated calendar and information)
- Marquee (upcoming dates)
- Announcements (video and power point announcements are on the website and we also have PA announcements every day)
- Posters and Flyers at school (for student events)
- School Emails
WEBSITE: I've made some changes to the website in hopes of making it more user friendly. Please visit the "attendance" section for updated and detailed information about student absences and documentation. Here are some of the changes that were made:
- Addition of "Academic" tab for lesson plans and catapult information
- Addition of "School Info" tab for generic KLMS information
- Addition of "Principal's Blog" tab for convenience
- Updated and additional attendance policies and procedures
