Knights,
I am excited to see everyone at school tomorrow ~ Monday, November 30!
All students will start with 1st period tomorrow at 8:20AM. With the cold
mornings ahead of us, please remember that students cannot enter the building
until 7:45AM. If your student came into contact with anyone over the
break that has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or they have any symptoms of
illness, please have your student stay home tomorrow; they can participate in
class tomorrow through their Google/Canvas classroom or by emailing their
teacher. The student screener is on the KLMS website to help parents
determine if students should go to school (click here for the website).
At this time, we have almost 50% of students on campus. The deadline for declaring your instructional setting for the third nine weeks is December 9th. We are asking that all families make their declaration, even if the selection is the same as your students' current setting. To date we have 26% of our families declaring their method of instruction (just under 300 students). Of the families that have responded, about 66% have requested on campus instruction. In terms of raw data, about 100 students per grade have declared, with about 65 per grade coming on campus in January. Families may change their responses up to December 9th using the link in the response email (you receive this email when your make your declaration). After December 9th, the only changes that will be allowed are on campus students returning to online instruction; online students will not be able to change to on campus instruction. I hope this information helps you feel informed.

See you soon,
