There are so many great things happening at KLMS - we are about to have the first school dance of the year (Friday Knight Lights for 6th grade students), Student Council and NJHS are in full swing, and we are almost half way through the football and volleyball season!
This week will mark the end of the 2nd progress report period; if your student competes in a UIL-governed event (such as fine arts and/or athletics) any failing grade on their progress report will make them ineligible for competition for a minimum of three weeks. Please make sure to check Skyward with your student to ensure they do not have missing grades and have completed the retest process for failed assessments.
Friday, September 27th is a big day- we have school pictures, the 6th grade dance and HHS Homecoming!

Friday Knight Lights is the 6th grade dance; it will be Friday from 6:00 - 8:00pm in the KLMS cafeteria. Tickets will be on sale during lunch Thursday and Friday for $3.00; tickets purchased at the door will be $5.00. You can check out more information and the volunteer sign up through the KLMS PTO Facebook page (called Kelly Lane Middle School PTO).
Wednesday, October 9th will be here quickly and we will have a unique schedule on that day. The 8th grade students will be taking the PSAT, the 7th grade students will be participating in Mad City Money, and the 6th grade students will be participating in a rotation of special presentations. Students will not be meeting with their morning class on that day. Lastly, you may notice a change to the schedule in Skyward. Your student's Catapult (Advisory) now shows in their schedule as period 10. Catapult is daily from 1:22-1:47 pm.
