As we prepare to close out the first semester of the year, here are some events for the week:
1. We will be on a normal schedule this week until Friday, which is an early release (school ends at 12:45). On this day, lunches will occur at the very end of the day and they will not at usual times. The afternoon will be hectic so I recommend not having lunch with your student that day; however, if you do please plan extra time to check in at the office and find your student. There will not be Knight Lab before school on Friday.
2. The theater classes are hosting a Lip Sync show on Friday, during the school day. We have a limited number of tickets for students to purchase ($1) and there will be two shows. Students will be allowed to miss class but are still responsible for any work missed during this time. Any student needing to take a final exam at show time (high school credit courses) cannot miss their final exam.
3. Kickstart Kids will be hosting their Winter Belt Ceremony on Wednesday in the KLMS gym. In general, the bleachers and the parking lot are full. Please plan extra time if you plan to attend; the ceremony starts at 6:30 pm.
4. The Big Event participation forms are due January 9th (soon upon our return to school).
A few reminders:
- If your student is attending an extra-curricular event, please plan to have your student picked up within 15 minutes after the conclusion of the event. In the case that your student does not have a phone available, they may use the office phone to coordinate timing.
- Students should only enter/exit a vehicle while the the vehicle is parked against a curb. Please encourage students to use the cross walk and not dart across the street. If any person is in the crosswalk, State law requires all vehicles to yield to the pedestrians.
- Reports cards will be issued upon our return in January.
- PSAT 8/9 score reports were given to students during lunch on Wednesday.
