We are ready for registration for Catapult enrichment classes!
For those new to KLMS or are unfamiliar with Catapult, Catapult is a designated time every day for students to engage in activities that are not part of their traditional school day. Our goal during Catapult is to provide students with the opportunity to engage in a lesson of their choice to extend their learning, practice critical thinking and problem solving skills, and have fun. When a teacher determines that a student needs more time with a particular concept, they might be assigned to a reinforcement lesson in lieu of a Catapult class. This is different that traditional intervention because reinforcement lessons are not limited to students who are failing a test or subject.
How does it work?
Catapult classes will change every two weeks. The first class starts Monday, September 14th. Here is what those two weeks will look for Catapult (SSR and Catapult occur during 4th period):

We use Sign Up Genius to register students; this allows us to give students the flexibility and choice of their lesson. Please note, for safety reasons the names of students are not visible to anyone but administrators. If you not familiar with Sign Up Genius, you can create an account or register as a guest. Parents can use their account to register students by clicking "display alternative name". If you need or want assistance, students can sign up with help from our librarian, any counselor or teacher, or any principal.
