How possibly are we almost half way through May??? It's been wonderful getting to have the end of year events again. The 6th and 7th grade dance was so much fun - 8th grade dance is next!
I also want to thank everyone who participated in our donation fundraiser and the bundtlet drive. We raised more than $4,000 in direction donations and provided our teachers with 677 bundtlet cakes for Teacher Appreciation Week! The 6th grade team won!
Our End of the Year Award Recipients were recognized Thursday night at the PfISD Banquet. Congratulations to the following:

STAAR Testing
We will be starting STAAR testing this Wednesday, May 11th - all STAAR testing will be online using PfISD Chromebooks. Please check with your student that they have their Chromebook charged and ready to go for testing. In order to provide a seamless testing opportunity for students, the number of students testing per day is limited.6th and 7th grade students will take 2 STAAR tests: reading and math. 8th grade students will take 4 STAAR tests: science, social studies, reading, and math. The 7th and 8th grade students have been divided by their math - please use the dates listed below to determine the days your student will be testing.
Days of Testing
- 6th grade: May 13th (algebra only), May 16th (reading) and May 19th (math 6, on-level & accelerated)
- 7th grade: May 13th (algebra only), May 17th (reading), May 18th (on-level & geometry only), May 19th (accelerated only)
- 8th grade: May 11th (science), May 12th (social studies), May 13th (algebra only), May 16th (intro to algebra & geometry only), May 18th (reading)
If students are not testing, they go to their regular classes. On Thursday, May 12th and Tuesday, May 17th we will have a reverse schedule (like February Interim testing). This will keep kids from missing class for over a week. Some classes may be combined or displaced to another classroom. Students will need to consult the displacement schedule if their teacher is a testing proctor.

Tuesday, May 24: Reward Day - inflatables in the gym & 8th grade Typhoon Texas trip
Wednesday, May 25 - Knight Out festival throughout the day
Thursday, May 26 - Early Release, last day assembly
