Hello on this chilly afternoon! I hope each of your families is weathering this cold snap without hardship. It sure would be nice if Texas weather could decide which season we should be experiencing - my best advice is to keep those jackets and sunglasses handy!
Thank you for your help with cell phones and earbuds/headphones. It has really made a difference from my point of view, I hope your students are feeling a positive difference too.
With these school cancellations since we returned in January, the rhythm of school has been disrupted and it's hard to believe the 3rd nine weeks grading cycle is almost over! Encourage your student to check Skyward and/or discuss any concerns with their teacher.
I want to thank the PTO and the parents that helped create a special treat for teachers and staff the week of Valentine's Day. We are very fortunate to have a supportive community - it is one of the great things about the Knight community!
A couple of reminders:
- The front bus loop needs to be reserved for buses only during the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times. Please meet your student nearby the school or come through the back loop to pick up your student. If you enter the bus loop and there is a bus present - you cannot drive past the bus if they are loading/unloading.
- Breakfast and lunch are still free for all students through the remainder of this year. If you are bringing food for your student, please remember 1) only bring food for your student, and 2) make sure that any drinks can be sealed and placed inside the bag of food for your student - this helps to make sure the drink does not spill and gets to the correct student.
- All students should have completed and submitted their choice sheet for the 2022-23 school year. If your student has not completed and submitted this form, they may lose the opportunity to select their elective classes.
- Any COVID positive cases should be reported to Katie Shorre, school nurse, at Katie.Schorre@pfisd.net.
- Questions about attendance should be directed to Priya Pardeshi, student records specialist, at Priya.Pardeshi@pfisd.net.
