End of Year Events

Knights,

We have almost made it through this crazy testing week and we are ready to celebrate the end of the 2020-21 school year!  While we are in the building this year, and that is a step up from last year, we are still unable to host any assemblies.

End of Year Awards

The 3rd nine week Knight Pride recipients will be acknowledged on the KLMS website, click here for previous honorees.  Students will receive their certificates during school on Thursday, May 27 and we will mail certificates to our virtual student honorees.

KORT, Sword and the Stone, and Knight of the Year are surprise awards at the end of the year.  Parents of these award recipients will be contacted about that recognition.

The 2020 National Junior Honor Society inductees were unable to have their induction ceremony last year or this year.  These students will receive their induction certificates during school on Thursday, May 27; we will mail certificates to our virtual student honorees.

Final Week Activities

Join us for Dress Up Days, our themes are about celebrating who are and where we are headed:
5/24 Monday: Who Are You? (Be Yourself)
5/25 Tuesday: What Do You Like? (Sports/Activities)
5/26 Wednesday: Where Are You Going? (College/High School spirit)
5/27 Thursday: Who We Are (Knight spirit)

We will host a Reverse Parade to say good-bye to our virtual students on Friday, May 28 @ 9:00am.  While all students are welcome to participate, our focus is celebrating our virtual students.
To participate, join the parade route at the south end of campus (Falcon Pointe and Grand Mission - enter the drive that goes behind the school.  You will complete the by driving to the north end of the school and turning to bring you to the front of the school.  You will exit the parking lot at the Falcon Pointe/Barley Field stop sign.

Talent Show: if we receive enough entries, we will have a virtual talent show on Thursday, May 27.  Students can still submit videos in the TikTok category (see the Canvas announcement for details).

8th Grade Only: On Wednesday, May 26 the in-person students will go to Hendrickson High School during the school day for a brief tour of the school.  Students will stay with their KLMS teacher and we will not be interacting with HHS students or staff; however, we are excited that students will have an opportunity to see the inside of the school before next year!

Early Release on May 27th: we will have a bell schedule that allows teachers to see all of their students on the last day.  Please note the order of classes is slightly different so that lunch is still attached to their 4th period class but they aren't having lunch at 9:30. We will have lunches by grade level on this day.
