The first grading period has ended, report cards went Thursday and we are very proud of our student's accomplishments!
Today we had three fantastic pep rallies- there was so much energy in the gym it was amazing. Congratulations to our Knight Pride and KORT recipients, as well as to our teachers who won a shield. A special thank you to the band drum line, the cheerleaders, and the office staff for helping to make all three pep rallies a success.
We announced to students that Halloween costumes are not permitted on Monday, we have had a great two weeks of dressing games; however, it's time to return to regular dress code. Pink Out and Red Ribbon Week were a great success with numerous students participating each day.
Basketball tryouts are right around the corner. Tryouts for Lady Knights begins October 31st and tryouts for the male Knights begin November 2nd. For more information about Lady Knight tryouts, click here.
Our next major event is our Veteran's Day Assembly. If you or someone you know have served in the armed forces we want to invite you to be a special guest at our ceremony. The ceremony at 8:15 is for 7th and 8th graders and the ceremony at 9:00 is for 6th graders. For more information, or to come as a guest, please contact Linda Spataro.
November 9th is our Chipotle fundraiser sponsored by the PTO. Please stop by Chipotle between 5:00 and 9:00. Bring in the flyer (or a copy on your phone) so they know you are there to support KLMS! For more information or to download the flyer, click here.
Please note that on report cards, Thanksgiving Break was report as being November 13-17. Thanksgiving Break has not changed and will be November 21-25. Spring Break is March 13-17.
